In-ground Basketball Hoop Assembly Installation
In-ground basketball goal installation is a project that requires a lot of labor and specialized skills. We take care of the entire project from start to finish with the precision and accuracy to ensure 100% client satisfaction. We’ll first start by excavating the desired location for the footer then mixing and pouring concrete. The footer must be dug to the proper depth and diameter to ensure longevity & safe operation of the basketball system. Once the concrete has cured, we’ll assemble and install the goal. The basketball hoop installation process requires at least two separate trips depending on the name and model over a 7 – to- 20 day period.

Inground & Above Ground Basketball Hoop Installation FAQ
How much does basketball hoop installation cost?
The price of the project depends on several factors including the type of system purchased, the brand of hoop, your location and the specifics of your yard & setup. Also, keep in mind this is a multi-step installation process and our installers will need to return a few times before completion. Tri-State Assembly will provide a written estimate before any work begins.
How long does the process take?
The actual process of installing an above ground basketball system takes about 90 minutes. An in-ground basketball hoop system will take about 5 days, since we need at least 72 hours for the concrete to cure prior to system assembly.
Can I take my hoop with me when I move?
Yes! Your in-ground basketball system is anchored to the ground by 4 threaded J-bolts. When you’re ready to move you can simply remove the hoop from the anchor system. You will need to install a new anchor kit, which can be purchased through (and installed by) Tri-State Assembly.
How do I maintain my basketball hoop?
It is very easy to maintain your basketball hoop system throughout the year!
- Keep grass, garbage, weeds and animal droppings away from the steel pole or base to prevent rusting.
- Clean the backboard every few weeks with an ammonia-free glass cleaner using a microfiber cloth.
- If you see any signs of rusting, call Tri-State Assembly for a maintenance inspection.
What’s the best placement of my hoop?
Since most of the action happens when you’re fighting for a rebound under the rim, we recommend installing the in-ground hoop as close to the driveway/playing area as possible. This allows you to utilize as much of the overhang as possible.
